Corrosive Pool Water will start to attack the heating element and/or the pump motor. This will reduce the life of your pump and heater and will not be covered under warranty. Scale Forming causes the minerals in the water to fall out and deposit on the heating element. The more scaling that forms the less effecient the heater becomes. Eventually, if scaling continues, the heating element will be completely covered and no heat will be produced. This is not covered under your warranty.
